    A few drivers RS sold were every bit as good as those.

    The Foster/Fostex stuff for instance.

    I've long been a fan of the 40-1228 aluminum 2 x 6 horn tweeter, which i think was also made by Foster/Fostex. It's a plug n play replacement for the Bolero and Madera, and IMO is a smidge cleaner and more extended. Sadly, it evolved into the 40-1228A and 40-1228B which are plastic and just don't sound the same.

    Most 70's are good, the 80's we had Reagonomics, most stuff got cheaper.
